Job Title: Business Development Executive

Our client is a rapidly expanding supplier of advanced machinery essential for manufacturing critical data center infrastructure. Driven by unprecedented growth in the hyperscale and co-location sectors, the mission is to significantly expand market penetration and establish strategic relationships with key players across North America.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Executive (BDE) to be the primary engine for new market entry and pipeline generation within the North American data center sector. You are the "door opener" responsible for generating qualified leads, expanding our presence, and establishing initial relationships with high-value targets. You will work closely with our marketing team to execute targeted campaigns and hand off opportunities to our expert sales engineering team.

Key Responsibilities (Added focus on strategic selling and tools)

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify, research, and engage key decision-makers (Director to C-level) within the data center construction, manufacturing, and supplier ecosystem (e.g., manufacturers of server racks, cooling components, enclosures, etc.).

  • Pipeline Generation: Leverage advanced sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to execute targeted Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and convert inbound website leads into a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.

  • Needs Qualification: Conduct high-level discovery conversations to accurately qualify leads, understand their machinery/manufacturing pain points, and articulate our client's value proposition.

  • Sales Handoff: Coordinate internal teams, schedule qualified introductory meetings, and seamlessly hand off opportunities to Sales Engineering for technical demonstrations and closing.

  • Collaboration & Reporting: Collaborate daily with marketing for campaign feedback and optimize outreach strategies. Maintain rigorous tracking of all sales activities and regularly report on pipeline health and key metrics to management.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Market Experience: 5+ years of proven track record in business development, sales, or technical account management, preferably selling complex B2B solutions in the data center, industrial manufacturing, or related high-tech capital equipment sectors.

  • Industry Acumen: Demonstrated understanding of the data center landscape, its supply chain, and the ability to interact credibly with technical executives and decision-makers.

  • Drive & Autonomy: A self-motivated "door opener" who is comfortable with high-volume prospecting, nurturing long-cycle leads, and operating with a high degree of independence in a remote environment.

  • Communication Mastery: Outstanding communication, presentation, and executive relationship-building skills.

  • Sales Tech Proficiency: Comfort and experience using a CRM (Salesforce preferred) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for lead generation and activity tracking.
