About the Role
Wizard Accounting & Consulting is hiring a skilled Bookkeeper to support its growing client base in the food and beverage sector. This role will begin part-time and transition to full-time within a few months. You’ll handle weekly bookkeeping tasks, support month-end closes, and help streamline financial processes. As part of the team, you won’t just deliver reports, you’ll contribute to insights that guide client decisions and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Categorize weekly transactions across multiple client accounts
Process Accounts Payable using Ramp and Bill.com
Prepare weekly cash flow reports in Excel
Record payments and reconcile invoices
Post journal entries as needed (training provided for consistency)
Manage month-end close for small clients once core tasks are mastered
Support coverage during owner’s absence
Identify opportunities for process automation and workflow improvements
Requirements
4+ years of experience as a full-cycle Bookkeeper in a professional setting
Experience with consumer goods or retail clients, ideally food & beverage with both e-commerce and retail channels
Strong proficiency with QBO, Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, Bill.com, Ramp bill pay
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Comfortable with Google Workspace apps (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work semi-independently
Must pass a bookkeeping knowledge assessment}
Preferred Qualifications
Experience improving bookkeeping processes with automation tools
Familiarity with scaling bookkeeping operations for multi-channel businesses
Success Indicators (First 3–6 Months)
All weekly transactions categorized and reconciled on schedule with zero backlog
Consistent, accurate weekly cash flow reports delivered
Smooth handling of AP through Bill.com and Ramp without errors
Successful management of month-end close for assigned small clients
Documented improvements in efficiency or automation within workflows
Compensation & Logistics
Part-time to start, with transition to full-time within a few months
English level: C1+ required for client communication
Must align with U.S. business hours (EST or CST preferred)
