About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help us scale and strengthen our cloud infrastructure, reliability, security, and deployment processes. You'll work closely with backend, data, and product engineering teams to improve system performance, automate operations, optimize cloud resources, and ensure high availability across our services.
This is a hands-on senior role for someone who enjoys ownership, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and building scalable cloud-native environments. Experience with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, containers, observability, Cloudflare, and modern infrastructure practices is essential.
Location: Remote — Colombia or Argentina
What You'll Do
Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure using ECS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
Implement Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Build and maintain containerized environments using Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS or Kubernetes.
Monitor infrastructure health, application performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across production environments.
Improve database reliability and performance for PostgreSQL and MySQL environments.
Implement and maintain observability solutions, logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows, scalability, and operational excellence.
Enhance platform security and performance using Cloudflare (CDN, WAF, DNS, DDoS protection).
Support and optimize deployments on Vercel and modern frontend hosting platforms.
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
Leverage AI-assisted tools and automation to improve infrastructure operations, monitoring, and developer productivity.
Document processes, standards, and infrastructure decisions while continuously proposing improvements.
What We're Looking For
6+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: ECS, Lambda, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, and IAM.
Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies.
Strong Linux, networking, and cloud security fundamentals.
Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL administration and performance optimization.
Hands-on experience with Cloudflare services and security best practices.
Familiarity with Vercel and frontend deployment workflows.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms (Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus).
Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
Strong ownership mindset and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate English communication skills/ Fluent in spanish (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
Experience in fintech or high-availability production environments.
Experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
AWS certifications.
Experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows and automation.
Knowledge of Redis, Snowflake, or distributed systems architectures.
