We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Bilingual Collections Agent to join our growing remote team in the Dominican Republic. This role is focused on 1st Party Collections, helping our customers resolve early-stage delinquent accounts through professional and effective communication.
If you are a results-oriented problem-solver with excellent communication skills in both English (B2 minimum) and Spanish, and have a proven track record in the BPO sector, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Operations department.
Responsibilities:
Perform 1st Party Collections: Contact customers to discuss outstanding balances and secure timely payments.
Negotiate Resolutions: Propose and agree upon realistic repayment plans with customers, utilizing critical thinking and empathy.
Document Accurately: Maintain detailed and compliant records of all customer interactions and commitments within our system.
Ensure Compliance: Operate strictly within all debt collection laws and company guidelines.
Collaborate: Work closely with the team to achieve collective departmental goals.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) or Business-to-Consumer (B2C) environment.
Bilingual Fluency: Proficiency in both Spanish and English (B2/Upper-Intermediate or higher is required).
Skills: Proven abilities in Critical Thinking, Effective Communication, Teamwork & Collaboration, and a strong Results-Oriented mindset.
Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM or collections software and strong computer navigation skills.
