Description

Summary:We are seeking a mid-level QA Engineer to join a cross-functional team developing next-generation camera technology. The engineer will focus on ensuring software stability and reliability across both embedded systems and mobile applications (iOS and Android). This role emphasizes regression testing both manual and automated to validate new features and maintain consistent performance across camera devices.General Information:

Position: QA Engineer Commitment: 40 hrs/week, 1099 Contractor Work Type: Hybrid 2-3 days/week in Lincoln, Nebraska

Tasks and Deliverables:

Execute regression testing for embedded camera systems and mobile applications (iOS/Android). Maintain and extend existing test packs, ensuring coverage for all supported hardware and software configurations. Perform manual and automated test cycles to validate new releases and features. Work closely with software and hardware QA teams to identify, reproduce, and track issues. Run and monitor automated tests within existing CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity). Collaborate with device lab engineers for hardware-based validation and troubleshooting. Document test results and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.

Requirements

3 7 years of QA experience in software testing for mobile and/or embedded systems. Proven track record with regression testing and test case design. Experience with automation frameworks Familiarity with Python and/or Rust for embedded system validation. Experience in CI/CD environments and automated nightly test runs. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a knack for uncovering subtle issues. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across distributed teams.
