FBMC is looking to add an Onsite Service Specialist at their client site at Miami Dade County Public Schools in Miami, FL

Position Overview

The On-Site Service Specialist serves as the front-line support resource for employees, clients, carriers, and internal teams regarding benefits administration and client-specific eligibility processes. The role focuses on customer service, inquiry resolution, data entry, document management, and process support while maintaining compliance with state insurance regulations.

This is a primarily client-facing position located at a client worksite M-F 8:00 am-4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to member, client, carrier, and internal team inquiries via phone, email, and written correspondence.

  • Research and resolve service-related issues using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Perform accurate data entry and document management.

  • Support client-specific administrative processes and eligibility requirements.

  • Track and report performance metrics and service guarantees.

  • Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with clients, carriers, and cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain a professional and positive on-site presence at client locations.

This is an unlicensed position. However, you will be able to;

  • Explain client processes and eligibility rules.

  • Assist with administrative forms and data entry.

  • Direct employees to available resources.

Without a license you may not:

  • Explain insurance plan design details (deductibles, copays, etc.).

  • Recommend specific insurance plans.

  • Enroll employees in insurance coverage.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service background.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented with strong data entry accuracy.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent organizational and critical-thinking skills.

Experience

  • Associate degree preferred, or3-5 years of experience in the following areas:

    • Customer service

    • Employee benefits

    • Insurance

    • Medical office administration

    • Claims processing

    • Data or technology systems support
