Commercial Account Executive - Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAs a Commercial Account Executive at Chainalysis, you will be a key player in driving blockchain technology adoption across the North American private sector. You'll help crypto native companies (exchanges, Web3, DeFi), financial services, and mid-market organizations confidently and securely implement blockchain technologies as part of their cryptocurrency strategy.Our Commercial Account Executives are emerging storytellers and problem-solvers who balance new business creation with strategic account management. You will establish trust with customers, tailor your sales approach to meet their specific needs, and evangelize Chainalysis solutions in a compelling yet approachable way.Primary ResponsibilitiesMeet and exceed assigned quota targets by developing the commercial market within North America through effective prospecting, pipeline development, and existing account expansionBuild meaningful customer relationships based on trust and transparency that generate network referrals and enhance Chainalysis' brand awarenessExecute targeted go-to-market plans resulting in predictable quarterly forecastsDevelop a diverse pipeline of commercial opportunities enabling consistent and accurate sales forecastingCollaborate with marketing and product teams to implement effective positioning and messaging specific to commercial market trends and competitive driversWork cross-functionally with internal teams at Chainalysis to provide informed guidance to prospects on technical concepts, product capabilities, implementation approaches, and trainingCreate compelling customer proposals that clearly articulate value propositions aligned with commercial customer needsNavigate sales cycles with multiple stakeholders at mid-market organizationsQualificationsRequired:2-5 years of B2B commercial sales experience, preferably in SaaS or technology solutionsExperience selling into the financial services industry (banking, fintech, asset management, etc.) a plusUnderstanding of consultative sales methodology and buying processesStrong communication skills with ability to present technical concepts in an approachable mannerProven record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsDemonstrated ability in new business developmentCapacity to translate technical solutions into clear business benefits for customersInterest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technologyAdaptability and eagerness to grow in a dynamic startup environmentWillingness to travel as needed for customer meetings and eventsNice to Have:Experience selling solutions related to risk & compliance, data analytics, financial crimes, or data securityBasic understanding of blockchain technology (not required to be an expert, but must be curious and willing to learn)Success MetricsSuccess in this role will be measured by:Attainment of assigned quotaAcquisition of new commercial accounts within the territoryGrowth of existing commercial accounts within the regionDevelopment of accurate sales forecastsQuality of customer relationships and referral generationTotal Compensation:" Base Salary Range: $110,000-$140,000" Offers Commission: 50/50 OTE" Offers EquityJoin our team and help drive the adoption of blockchain technology across commercial markets in North America's private sector!About ChainalysisBlockchain technology is powering a growing wave of innovation.
