Reid Accountants + Advisors is an independent, full-service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals. We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and adaptable Tax Collator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for assembling, reviewing, and finalizing tax return packages, supporting tax processing workflows, coordinating billing, and providing administrative support as directed by management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble, collate, and finalize tax return packages for delivery (electronic and paper), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Process tax returns during peak deadlines (March/April and September/October) while supporting steady workflow year-round.
Organize and maintain client documents through scanning, filing, and use of internal document management systems.
Perform quality checks on tax documents to ensure proper formatting, inclusion of all required forms, and adherence to firm standards.
Generate invoices in accordance with the firm’s billing policies and assist with billing coordination.
Provide administrative support including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and responding to internal and external communications.
Maintain strict confidentiality of client and firm information.
Collaborate with tax preparers, reviewers, and administrative staff to ensure timely delivery of completed returns.
Requirements:
Experience with tax return assembly and processing; familiarity with CCH Axcess preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines, especially during peak tax seasons.
Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and adaptability.
Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy.
