Full Job Description

NETGEAR is looking for a talented Sr. CI/CD DevOps Engineer to help evolve our build and deployment systems for next-generation connected products. You’ll drive automation, improve developer efficiency, and ensure fast, reliable delivery across firmware and software teams.

This is a hybrid role — on-site Tues–Thurs, remote Mon & Fri.

What You’ll Do

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and automation tools
• Manage build systems and tooling for firmware and cloud-connected platforms
• Partner closely with Engineering, QA, and Cloud Ops to streamline delivery
• Implement and enforce DevOps best practices — testing, code quality, and security
• Troubleshoot build, infrastructure, and deployment issues
• Support new product platform bring-up and production release workflows
• Drive productivity improvements with automation, scripts, and scalable systems
• Create documentation and enable teams to use DevOps tools effectively
• Mentor team members and support technical decision-making

Required Qualifications:

• 4–6+ years in DevOps, Release Engineering, or Test Automation
• Strong experience with Git/GitHub + modern CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Proficient in scripting (Python, Bash) and Linux environments
• Experience building software for embedded systems (OpenWRT, Yocto, etc.)
• Familiarity with C/C++ build flows and tooling (CMake, cross-compilers)
• Knowledge of artifact management, test automation, and release workflows
• Experience integrating quality/security tools (SonarQube, JFrog, Docker, Jira)
• Excellent communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Firmware dev/testing experience
• Networking or telecom knowledge
• Experience with cloud-hosted build/test environments
• Static analysis, code coverage, or monitoring tools expertise
