*Note: This position requires presence in our San Francisco or Bellevue office location 4 days per week; Lambda’s designated work from home day is currently Tuesday.

Role Summary

Help build the world’s best deep learning cloud by delivering frontend and backend systems that power Lambda's ML and AI platform.

What You’ll Do

• Design and build intuitive, beautiful web interfaces for ML/AI cloud users

• Integrate top-tier tooling, workflows, and models from the AI space

• Own features end-to-end—from design to deployment to monitoring

You (Must-Haves)

Frontend Experience (6+ years)

• Responsive web apps using:

  • TypeScript

  • React (or equivalent experience in Vue or Svelte)

  • HTML and modern CSS

  • Vite

Backend Experience (8+ years)

• Business-critical services using:

  • Python, Unix/Command line

  • Django or FastAPI

  • Relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL

Additional Core Experience

• CI/CD: Automation around testing and deployment

• Reliability & Observability: Logging, alerting, and building highly available systems

• Cloud Native Services: AWS, Okta, Cloudflare, etc.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Kubernetes

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Atlantis, Crossplane, etc.)

• Event-based or serverless tech (e.g., AWS Lambda, Kinesis)

• Experience in ML, AI, or data science

• Application security and web hardening

• Leadership or mentorship experience

• Strong academic background (EECS, Math, Software Engineering, Physics)

Salary Range
The annual salary range for this position has been set based on market data and other factors. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
