About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst, Financial Transformation & Analytics to join our Strategic Finance (StratFin) team as the primary architect and technical owner of our financial planning infrastructure. In this role, you will serve as the platform's lead builder, designing scalable models that power enterprise-wide forecasting, planning, and reporting, while simultaneously owning the compliance and reconciliation frameworks that underpin financial integrity across the organization. A key mandate of this role is to evaluate our current planning environment (Anaplan) and provide a forward-looking recommendation on whether to optimize the existing platform or migrate to a tool better suited to our evolving business needs. This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of financial systems engineering and core FP&A, shaping both the infrastructure and the insight our leadership team relies on.

Location: Hybrid (3 days on-site) in our New York City office

What You Will Be Responsible For

  • Financial Planning Platform Architecture & Ownership: Serve as the lead developer and technical point of contact for the Finance function's planning infrastructure. You will design, build, and maintain the models, modules, and dashboards that power enterprise-wide planning: with deep, hands-on command of the back-end architecture, data structures, and logic flows, not simply end-user configuration.

  • Platform Evaluation & Strategic Recommendation: Conduct a rigorous assessment of our current Anaplan environment against business requirements, then research and evaluate alternative financial planning tools on the market (e.g., Pigment, Workday Adaptive, Oracle EPM, OneStream). Synthesize findings into a clear recommendation, optimize Anaplan or migrate, with a supporting business case for leadership.

  • Compliance & SOX Leadership: Act as the primary lead for SOX compliance within the Finance function. You will design, implement, and test key internal controls, ensuring that all financial reporting processes are audit-ready and meet rigorous regulatory standards.

  • Guardian of Integrity: Implement and manage rigorous reconciliation processes across master data, revenue models, and expense plans to ensure absolute accuracy across all organizational reporting channels. You will serve as the final check that financial outputs tie across systems, files, and frameworks.

  • Presentation Support: Drive the creation of high-stakes content for internal leadership and external stakeholders (e.g., Board of Directors, Investors, and Lenders), translating complex financial datasets into clear, data-verified, and visually impactful deliverables.

What You Bring to DailyPay

  • Technical Excellence (Must Have): A proven track record of building sophisticated, scalable, and dynamic models in one or more enterprise financial planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan, Pigment, Workday Adaptive, Oracle EPM, OneStream, or comparable). Hands-on back-end development and architecture experience is essential.

  • Experience: 3–5+ years analytical experience in Data Analytics, Corporate Finance, or a related field, with strong fluency in the monthly close cycle, P&L dynamics, and the drivers behind financial variances.

  • Operational Detail: A solid understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and an instinct for identifying when a forecast does not tie to the ledger before anyone else notices.

  • Analytical Mindset: The ability to distill complex financial datasets into clear, actionable insights for senior business partners, and to explain technical system issues in plain, accessible language.

  • Collaboration: A "team-first" attitude with the ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional partners and other subgroups within Strategic Finance.

  • Systems (Nice to Have): Experience with NetSuite or comparable ERPs, as well as BI tools such as Hyperion or Tableau. Advanced Excel fluency is assumed.
