About the Role

Our team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our data & analytics team as individual contributors and help build & scale Rho's commercial banking technology.

The Data team builds data products and solutions for either internal stakeholders or customers directly, maintaining a strong data driven culture across the company. This includes building our data infrastructure, ingestion frameworks tools & data models in order to ensure high data integrity.

Technologies we use for data: Python, Snowflake, DBT, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, Google Cloud Services, Looker, PowerBI

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain Rho’s main data systems and platforms so they are reliable, scalable, and performant

  • Design, maintain and build a robust data warehouse, pipelines and infrastructure that can seamlessly scale with Rho’s rapid growth.

  • Implement and manage quality checks, monitoring, and alerts to keep data accurate and quickly handle any issues in pipelines.

  • Partner with stakeholders to diagnose and resolve issues with current production data models and deliver enhancements to boost accuracy, speed, and ease of use.

  • Collaborate with business intelligence and analytics teams to translate business needs into practical, scalable data solutions.

  • Lead initiatives to expand and improve Rho’s company-wide data warehouse and analytics environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or DevOps.

  • Proficiency in workflow orchestrators such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.

  • Experience with major data warehouse platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or in-house HDFS-based solutions.

  • Skilled at building data infrastructure using GCP, AWS, or comparable cloud providers.

  • Comfortable managing and deploying services on Kubernetes.

  • Practical experience with Terraform or Pulumi for automating infrastructure.

  • Advanced programming abilities in Python, Go, or Java, along with strong SQL skills.

  • Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data models.

  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented, collaborative approach.

Nice To Haves:

  • Experience building a data platform from the ground up.

  • Experience with data modeling approaches such as Inmon, Kimball, Data Vault, Data Mesh, or similar.

  • Experience working with streaming data systems.

  • Familiarity with Prometheus or other time-series databases used for monitoring.

  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools such as Looker or Power BI.
