Lincoln Freedom Group, LLC is hiring a Product Owner on behalf of a growing client expanding into multiple new markets. This is a full-time 1099 contract role (40 hours/week) for an experienced product professional who can drive network-focused development initiatives. What You'll Do: This is product ownership in the traditional Scrum sense - you'll own the product backlog, prioritize features, define acceptance criteria, and ensure the team delivers value to stakeholders. You'll work primarily with Network Engineers and Developers on networking projects and development initiatives in the telecom space. This role is about balancing technical feasibility with business priorities and keeping a team of 6-10 engineers aligned and productive. The Environment: The client uses Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) with established sprint processes, but there's significant opportunity to refine and build on existing practices. The team values collaboration and clear communication - people skills matter as much as technical chops here. Management style is hands-off, trusting experienced professionals to own their domain. What We're Looking For:
Proven Product Owner experience in a Scrum environment Technical fluency - enough to know when engineers are on track or spinning wheels (you don't need to be an expert, but you can't be snowed) Strong Atlassian suite experience (Jira workflows, backlog management, sprint planning) Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritization skills Telecom/networking/ISP background is a plus, but strong IT development experience translates well
Compensation: Rate is negotiable based on experience. Submit your proposed rate with your application. To Apply: Send your resume to jobs@lincolnfreedomgroup.com. Please include a cover letter explaining why you're interested in this specific role and what qualities would make you a strong fit.
