About the job:

As a Product Operations Manager for Embedded Payroll, you will be a key player in establishing strong connections between our product and user-facing teams. Your primary objective will be to work on a 0-1 product and build the product ops processes from scratch. You will foster close collaboration with user-facing teams, including support, sales, and success, ensuring a seamless product feedback loop. Moreover, you will have the unique opportunity to directly engage with our top users, gaining valuable insights into their specific use cases and challenges while guiding them towards maximising their product experience. This is an instrumental, cross-functional role that will be pivotal in our scaling efforts.

What you will enjoy working on:

  • Taking a product to product market fit and scaling in the 0-1 phase and then beyond

  • Building systems to operationalize proceeses

  • Collecting, quantifying, and prioritizing product-related challenges to be considered by our product and engineering teams in future development.

  • Seeking information to solve conceptual problems and contributing to the building and shaping of our product.

  • Driving top company launches and global rollouts, ensuring smooth and successful product deployments.

  • Digging deep into data and analysing user feedback to gain insights that drive continuous product improvements.

  • Designing and implementing complex operational systems and processes to optimise product operations.

  • Manage vendors and drive product feedback into the teams

  • Leading large cross-functional projects aimed at improving our product, driving innovation, and enhancing user experience.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in product operations, product management, or a closely related operational role that involved working closely with product and engineering teams.

  • Passion for delivering an outstanding user experience and a proven ability to develop a deep understanding of complex products and their various use cases.

  • Proficiency in analyzing data, extracting meaningful insights, and utilizing those insights to drive product enhancements.

  • Ability to build empathy for user problems, understanding their pain points and needs to shape product decisions effectively.

  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Problem-focused and solutions-oriented mindset with exceptional attention to detail and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done.

  • General technical knowledge of software development processes and systems (knowledge of designing and building a payment system is a huge plus).

  • Proficiency with BI tools (SQL, Looker, Snowflake, Datadog, Excel/Sheets) and superior presentation skills.

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced, product-driven tech company.
