Product Manager, Consumer Health
Role Overview
This mid-level Product Manager role owns the end-to-end consumer funnel for a fertility financing startup, focusing on growth, conversion, and revenue. You'll run experiments, optimize onboarding, scheduling, SMS/lifecycle journeys, and payment UX, working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, and clinic partners. The role requires high autonomy and a track record of improving key business metrics through experimentation.
Perks & Benefits
Competitive base salary ($130-160k) plus meaningful equity. Hybrid NYC work environment (3 days/week in office at 387 Park Ave). Full benefits generous for early-stage startups, plus fertility and egg-freezing benefits. High autonomy, fast shipping velocity, and direct influence on company strategy.
Full Job Description
At Gaia Family, we're building the patient-facing front-door to fertility care, starting with financial infrastructure to pay monthly with outcomes protection baked in.
Most people pursuing IVF or egg freezing in the U.S. are paying out of pocket. The experience is expensive, fragmented, emotionally overwhelming, and operationally messy. We partner with 180+ leading fertility clinics to make treatment more accessible through financing, product innovation, and a modern patient experience.
We’re an ambitious, fast-moving team backed by top-tier investors (including Valar Ventures and Atomico), and we’re looking for a product leader to own and scale our consumer growth engine.
The Role
This is not a feature PM role.
You will own Gaia’s consumer funnel end-to-end: from first touch through consult booking, financing, and treatment activation. You’ll be responsible for improving conversion, increasing revenue, and helping thousands of patients navigate one of the biggest healthcare decisions of their lives.
You’ll work directly with the Head of Product, alongside engineering, design, marketing, operations, and clinic partners. You’ll have high autonomy, fast shipping velocity, and direct influence on company strategy.
If you like operating close to the business, running experiments, obsessing over conversion, and building products that meaningfully impact people’s lives, you’ll thrive here.
What You’ll Own
The full consumer journey:
acquisition → signup → consult → financing → treatment
Core growth and conversion metrics tied directly to company revenue
Patient-facing experiences across:
onboarding
scheduling
intake flows
SMS + email lifecycle journeys
payment and financing UX
Experimentation strategy:
identifying opportunities
designing tests
analyzing outcomes
deciding what scales
New consumer products and monetization opportunities, including lab testing and adjacent offerings
Funnel analytics and reporting:
dashboards
conversion tracking
cohort analysis
operational visibility
Cross-functional execution with engineering, growth, operations, and fertility clinic partners
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
5–8 years of product management experience
Experience owning growth, conversion, marketplace, or consumer funnels
Proven track record improving key business metrics through experimentation
Comfortable owning revenue outcomes, not just shipping features
Strong product intuition paired with analytical rigor
Highly autonomous operator who thrives in ambiguity
Experience in fast-moving startup environments (Series A/B preferred)
NYC-based and excited to work in person several days per week
Strong Pluses
Consumer health, fintech, marketplace, or healthcare experience
Experience with high-consideration or emotionally sensitive purchases
Women’s health or fertility experience
Experience building communication-heavy workflows (SMS, lifecycle, scheduling, onboarding)
Comfort using AI tools in day-to-day product work:
research
prototyping
analysis
writing
execution
How We Work
We move fast, operate with high ownership, and care deeply about quality.
We believe great product teams combine strong judgment with fast iteration. We run lots of experiments, stay close to customers, and prioritize business impact over process theater.
We’re also highly AI-native. We use AI throughout product development, operations, analysis, and communication. The people who succeed here tend to be naturally curious builders who adopt new tools quickly and constantly look for leverage.
Why This Role Is Exciting 🤩
Own a critical revenue-driving product surface end-to-end
Work on a meaningful problem in healthcare with massive market opportunity
Operate with unusually high autonomy and visibility
Join a small, high-talent team where decisions ship quickly
Help define the future of fertility financing and patient experience
Meaningful equity upside as the company scales
