Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the successful candidate will be required to provide technical and administrative support to the Human Resource department in order to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of the company’s policies and procedures and the achievement of its corporate goals and objectives.

Essential Duties:

  • Coordinate and process documentation for recruitment, appointments, promotions, transfers and separations

  • Assist unit managers and recruiters to draft and revise job specifications and descriptions

  • Maintain human resource records including employee files, leave records, and performance management records

  • Advise employees of the company’s policies and procedures

  • Manage minor disciplinary problems and where necessary, ensure disciplinary procedures are followed

  • Conduct exit interviews for staff

  • Function as counsel to individual employees, department heads and top management

  • Provide adequate supervision to the Human Resources team

  • Prepare monthly and ad hoc statistics and reports

  • Perform other related duties as required

Education & Experience:

  • First Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent

  • At least five (5) years related experience

  • Administrative skills to manage up to 7 employees

  • Experience to handle a large workforce up to 1000 persons from a human resource standpoint

Required Skills, Abilities, & Knowledge:

  • Sound knowledge of human resource management policies and practices

  • Working knowledge of industrial relations policies and practices

  • Sound oral and written communication skills

  • Sound interpersonal skills

  • Good knowledge of relevant computer applications and systems

  • Ability to work on own initiative and prioritize competing tasks and issues
