About the Role
We're looking for a People Ops Generalist to own the day-to-day operations that make Braintrust run, and help us build the programs that will scale us to the next phase of growth. This role sits at the intersection of operations, compliance, and culture. You'll partner closely with People leadership, operations, and external vendors to keep our systems efficient, compliant, and people-first.
What You'll Do
Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding: including the onboarding buddy program, cohort sessions, and 30/60/90-day check-ins, and use the data to improve how people ramp continuously
Manage immigration support across the employee lifecycle, coordinating with external counsel and employees to keep cases moving
Administer benefits across the US, Canada, EMEA - including enrollment, leave tracking (Cocoon), workers' comp, and 401(k)
Support performance management programs, including review cycles, performance improvement, and manager training
Leverage AI tools to streamline documentation, reporting, and employee communications
Ideal Credentials
2–4 years of experience in People Operations and have owned your work, not just supported it
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and don't let things fall through the cracks
Handle sensitive information with discretion and good judgment
Communicate clearly and empathetically - people trust you with their questions
Know your way around HRIS, payroll, and benefits platforms
Experience at a high-growth startup and know what it means to build a process from scratch
Bonus: Familiarity with Rippling, multi-state employment law, or benefits administration
