About the role:
We’re looking for a Head of Delivery to manage a team of Product Owners and ensure the successful delivery of key technology initiatives at Shift. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you’ll play a critical role in aligning delivery with business objectives, driving prioritisation and managing dependencies across multiple teams. Your leadership will help maintain clear communication, efficient planning and continuous improvement in our delivery practices.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, fostering accountability and clear delivery ownership.

  • Drive quarterly planning, prioritisation and lookback sessions to keep initiatives aligned with company goals.

  • Manage cross-team dependencies and risks to minimise delivery roadblocks.

  • Provide transparent delivery reporting and insights to stakeholders and leadership teams.

  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering and business units to ensure alignment and efficient execution.

  • Support capability development in Agile, project and change management practices within the team.

  • Contribute to refining delivery frameworks and tools to improve consistency and velocity.

  • Partner with senior leadership to ensure delivery roadmaps reflect strategic priorities.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience leading delivery in a technology and product-led environment

  • A track record of delivering complex technology initiatives on time and with impact

  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery, modern engineering practices, and software lifecycles

  • Clear, confident communication and the ability to bring stakeholders along the journey

  • A balance of strategic thinking and hands-on problem solving

  • Experience running multiple delivery streams in fast-moving teams

  • A focus on incremental value, continuous improvement, and outcomes over outputs

  • Strong prioritisation, dependency management, and risk awareness
