Full Job Description

About us:

At Saltz, we believe the finest ingredients should be available in one marketplace. For too long, the culinary world has been tangled in a web of distributors and hidden costs, separating passionate chefs from incredible producers. We’re changing that.

Saltz is the digital marketplace where quality and creativity connect directly. We empower chefs to discover and source an incredible variety of fresh ingredients, from local farms to international craftsmen, with complete transparency. For producers, we unlock a global market overnight. An oyster farm can join Saltz today and be selling to hundreds of restaurants across six countries by tomorrow. That’s the power of our platform.

We are a VC-backed, fast-growing startup, and we’re unapologetically ambitious. Our vision is to connect thousands of suppliers with thousands of chefs across hundreds of cities, creating a new, efficient, and transparent ecosystem for fresh food.

What your days will look like:

  • You’ll be out in the field, visiting restaurants and kitchens. Your mission is to introduce chefs and owners to a marketplace that actually makes their lives easier

  • You’ll manage about 10–15 meetings a week and you’ll be responsible for following up and making sure no one is left hanging

  • You will plan your weekly schedule (with guidance when needed) and work towards hitting or exceeding targets

  • You’ll show chefs a demo of our application, in their own environment, how Saltz makes ordering simple and reliable

  • You’ll use our CRM (don't worry, we’ll teach you!) and other tools to keep notes on your progress so the whole team can support you

What you need:

  • Whether you’ve run a kitchen, managed a bar, or worked as a concierge, you understand the fast-paced world of gastronomy. Career changers are welcomed! If you’ve done sales internships or part-time customer roles, that’s a huge plus too

  • You’re energized by being out in the field, walking into kitchens, and building face-to-face relationships with chefs and managers

  • Very good oral and written Hungarian and English skills

  • You’re comfortable leading a conversation. You know how to listen, solve problems, and confidently seal the deal

  • Bonus: You speak other languages fluently in addition to Hungarian or English

What you get:

  • A fair guaranteed salary and commission (OTE: 40,000 EUR gross / year)

  • The hardware you need to get started

  • A company card to cover commuting costs (€400 per month)

  • Autonomy and trust to manage your own workflow

  • Work with and be supported by mature, intelligent, entrepreneurial and fun people who are leading experts in their fields, driven by their passion for the industry
