Location: Remote
Working Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm EST

The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a dedicated Commercial Concrete Foundation Estimator to take ownership of our foundation budgeting process. This is a high-impact, independent role focused on delivering the precision and technical accuracy required for complex commercial projects.
While our firm has deep roots in residential construction, this role is specifically designed for a specialist who understands the nuances of commercial foundation systems, including structural requirements, material yields, and large-scale site logistics.
Key Responsibilities
Detailed Takeoffs: Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for commercial concrete foundations, including footings, grade beams, piers, slabs-on-grade, and foundation walls.
Budget Development: Create comprehensive, Excel-based construction budgets and contracts that account for labor, materials, equipment, and pumping costs.
Blueprint Analysis: Interpret complex structural and architectural drawings to identify potential design conflicts or cost-saving opportunities (value engineering).
Efficiency Management: Maintain and update complex spreadsheets to ensure budget accuracy and operational efficiency as project scopes evolve.
Qualifications & Skills
Specialized Experience: Proven track record estimating commercial foundations. You must understand the specific requirements of commercial-grade concrete work.
Excel Mastery: Exceptional expertise in Microsoft Excel is mandatory. You should be comfortable navigating and building complex formulas and data-heavy spreadsheets.
Technical Proficiency: Prior experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam or PlanSwift is highly preferred.
Analytical Mindset: A persistent self-starter who digs into the details to ensure no cost is overlooked.
Independent Learner: Ability to quickly master internal processes and tools with minimal formal training. You should be someone who enjoys troubleshooting and finding answers independently.
