The company is looking for an experienced Commercial Estimator to support its growing project volume. This role will take ownership of estimating, bidding, and pre-construction activities, allowing leadership to focus more on day-to-day operations, project execution, and business growth.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Estimator with hands-on experience estimating commercial or industrial construction projects, preferably with exposure to framing or structural scopes.
You will be responsible for performing detailed takeoffs, preparing bids, handling RFIs and submittals, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting pre-construction activities.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing a high volume of estimates, and communicating directly with clients when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial framing and construction projects
Prepare accurate and competitive bids and estimates
Review construction drawings, plans, specifications, and project scope
Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, revisions, and bid updates
Conduct vendor outreach to obtain pricing and project information
Coordinate with subcontractors regarding scope, pricing, and project requirements
Provide general pre-construction support and analysis
Communicate directly with clients and project stakeholders when required
Manage multiple estimating assignments and support high-volume bidding
Complete as many estimates as project volume requires while maintaining accuracy
Work within client systems and construction software, including:
PlanSwift
Bluebeam
ProConnect
Procore
Revit
AutoCAD
Maintain organized estimating documentation and project records
Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and potential estimating risks
Collaborate with leadership and project teams to support successful project bids
Required Qualifications
3+ years of commercial or industrial construction estimating experience
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent hands-on commercial estimating experience
Experience with commercial construction projects is required
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Experience performing detailed takeoffs and preparing bids
Familiarity with at least one major construction estimating or bidding platform
Fluent English and Spanish, with native Spanish preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
Reliable internet connection and dedicated remote workspace
Willingness to commit to a 1-year agreement with a 2-week termination clause
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with commercial framing or structural estimating
Experience estimating framing scopes for general contractors
Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Experience with multiple construction bidding platforms
Experience coordinating directly with subcontractors and vendors
Experience working with US-based general contractors or construction companies
Familiarity with PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProConnect, Procore, Revit, and AutoCAD

Commercial project experience — residential-only experience will not be sufficient

Reliable internet and ability to work full-time remotely
