About The Role
This role is responsible for leading Data Center CDU Installations and Commissioning in support of deployment deliverables, serving as the primary technical expert for liquid cooling systems throughout all commissioning phases (Level 1–5). You will perform and oversee installation, startup testing, and validation of cooling distribution units while acting as Owner Representative across multiple sites, coordinating with contractors, vendors, commissioning agents, and operations teams to develop and execute test scripts (FPTs, ISTs). You will also manage site inspections, safety enforcement, documentation, and issue tracking, and ensure a smooth handover to operations teams with full training and commissioning reports upon project completion.
Responsibilities
Manage all commissioning phases for cooling distribution units. (Level 1-5)
Perform/oversee detailed installation, commissioning & startup testing, and validation of data center liquid cooling systems.
Stakeholder Coordination: Act Owner Representation for contractors and vendors for multiple sites during deployment.
Testing & Verification: Work with Commissioning Agents and Operations to develop, review and support execution test scripts (FPTs, ISTs) to confirm systems meet design and operational requirements.
Documentation: Monitor and ensure maintenance of records, tracking issues, test results, and CDU commissioning reports.
Site Management: Conduct inspections, enforce safety, track progress, and resolve issues on-site.
Handover: Provide technical support, training, and handover documentation to operations teams post-commissioning, ensuring all systems are complete and ready for service.
Basic Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Installation, testing, and commissioning of cooling systems in data centers, with emphasis on high-density liquid cooling products, including chilled water loops, and process cooling.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work with limited supervision and manage installing teams on day-to-day tasks.
Creating and managing testing protocols and system documentation.
Education: Technical Degree in Mechanical Systems, Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, or related field. (Bachelor’s Preferred)
Experience: 5+ years in IT, data center operations, mechanical systems, HVAC, or liquid cooling for critical facilities/data centers
Knowledge & experience with ASHRAE or BCxA commissioning guidelines preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Testing & Validation: Conducting pre-site testing and on-site functional testing, electrical checks, and mechanical adjustments.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues during startup and providing ongoing system support.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
