About the role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth through Shift’s commercial and asset finance broker channel. The role focuses on developing new broker relationships, strengthening existing partnerships, and increasing revenue within a defined region. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure brokers and customers receive consistent, high-quality support, while also representing Shift across industry and aggregator events to build brand presence in the market.
What you’ll do:
Develop and execute quarterly and annual sales plans to achieve regional sales objectives.
Activate new broker relationships while maintaining and growing an existing broker network.
Onboard, train, and support brokers to ensure effective engagement and product understanding.
Build strong, trusted, and long-term relationships across the broker channel.
Manage key relationships with aggregator sales teams at a state level.
Represent Shift at aggregator, partner, and broader industry events.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support broker and customer outcomes.
Build and maintain Shift’s brand awareness across your allocated region.
Stay informed on market conditions, competitor activity, and industry trends.
What you’ll bring:
2+ years’ experience in business development or sales, ideally within asset finance or commercial lending.
Demonstrated success building and maintaining long-term relationships within the broker network.
Strong sales capability with a commercial and outcomes-focused approach.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Strong rapport-building ability and relationship management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
