About the Role
The Bid Manager will lead the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and compelling bids that reflect EO’s brand, value proposition, and strategy. This person will manage the full bid lifecycle — from qualification through to submission and post-bid review — ensuring every submission demonstrates our capability and drives business growth.
In addition to individual bid delivery, the Bid Manager will develop a best-in-class bid management function. This includes introducing consistent processes, governance, and tools to improve quality, efficiency, and win rates across the business. The role is both hands-on and strategic, ideal for someone who thrives on managing complex projects under tight deadlines while continuously improving how EO approaches and wins new work.
Key Responsibilities and About You
Bid Management
Manage the full bid lifecycle, from qualification and planning through to submission and review.
Coordinate inputs from cross-functional teams and ensure all deadlines and quality standards are met.
Facilitate bid kick-off sessions, win strategy meetings, and review cycles to align stakeholders.
Oversee document production, maintaining brand consistency and compliance throughout.
Maintain governance, version control, and approval processes.
Own overall bid outcomes and drive a high win rate.
Develop Best-in-Class Bid Management Function
Create standardised processes, templates, and toolkits to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Implement governance frameworks for qualification, escalation, and approval.
Introduce metrics to measure success (e.g., win rate, quality scores, turnaround times).
Lead lessons-learned reviews and embed continuous improvement.
Coach and mentor contributors in writing, process, and best practice.
Identify opportunities for automation or simplification.
Content and Quality Ownership
Partner with technical, commercial, and operational teams to ensure bid content is accurate and customer-focused.
Maintain and enhance a central library of reusable, pre-approved materials.
Drive consistency in structure, tone, and design across all submissions.
Ensure all bids clearly communicate EO’s value, benefits, and differentiators.

Proven experience managing complex bids and tenders in a B2B environment.
Demonstrated ability to build and own a high-performing bid management function.
Excellent project management and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on precision and clarity.
Skilled at stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of pricing, risk, and value propositions.
Experience leading or mentoring bid teams is desirable.
Proven ability to improve or scale a bid management capability.
