Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain data models (e.g., in dbt) that align with the overall data architecture and business requirements.
Manage data pipelines end-to-end, from data extraction to transformation and loading, to provide timely and correct data for analysis.
Utilize complex SQL queries and macros to transform data efficiently, optimizing queries for performance as needed.
Incorporate data quality checks and cleansing routines to ensure datasets are reliable and accurate.
Work closely with data analysts and other analytics engineers to ensure consistency and accuracy in metrics and definitions across the team.
Contribute to team processes by occasionally leading portions of meetings or sharing improvements to analytics workflows.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics).
At least 3 years of experience in a similar data analytics engineering or BI development role.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling tools (such as dbt) and data warehousing concepts.
Hands-on experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., building dashboards in Looker, Tableau, or similar).
Basic programming skills in Python or a similar language for data processing and automation.
Proven ability to handle multiple data projects, troubleshoot data issues, and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical team members.
