Profound is on a mission to help companies understand and control their AI presence. As an Account Manager, you will partner closely with internal teams including Sales, Product, and Engineering to address customer needs, drive adoption, and facilitate meaningful outcomes through strategic consultations, success planning, and targeted support.
At Profound, you will serve as an expert guiding customers through the future of search, sharing best practices and actionable tactics to enhance their AI visibility and advising clients by assisting with strategic decisions utilizing the Profound platform.
What you’ll do
Own a portfolio of 40 to 50 accounts and be directly responsible for renewal and expansion revenue
Co-manage the customer lifecycle with the Engagement Management team from onboarding through renewal, identifying opportunities to deepen adoption and value
Develop a deep understanding of each customer’s goals, workflows, and organization to position Profound as a must-have partner
Build organizational maps of customer deployments to expand relationships and impact
Build and manage a pipeline of renewals, cross-sells, and upsells against monthly and quarterly revenue targets
Lead commercial conversations including executive business reviews and negotiations for multi-product renewals and upsells
Forecast with precision using CRM data and pipeline management best practices to ensure transparency and accountability
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Engagement Managers to deliver a seamless customer experience and surface insights that drive adoption
Who you are
3 or more years of SaaS experience in account management, renewals, or expansion sales
Track record of exceeding commercial targets through renewals and upsells, with quota-carrying experience preferred
Strong consultative selling skills and comfort leading discovery, demos, and business reviews with senior stakeholders
Excellent negotiation and closing skills with the ability to manage complex deals and procurement processes
High emotional intelligence and communication skills, able to build trust quickly and manage multiple stakeholder relationships
Highly organized and data-driven with strong pipeline discipline and attention to detail
Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, proactive, and comfortable owning outcomes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
High integrity and long-term orientation, motivated by customer success and sustainable revenue growth
Location
This is an on-site role based in our Union Square, NYC office, designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.
For this role, the expected base salary range is $70,000 to $140,000 before commission. Profound’s total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks.
