What You'll Do
This position reports to the Head of Marketing, under close direction from the lead Web developer. This role contributes to both design and implementation phases of web projects.
Support the design and layout of new pages across mapbox.com, as well as revisions to existing pages, in collaboration with the lead Web developer, graphic designer, and stakeholders across the broader marketing team and relevant subject-matter experts.
Continuously identify and design for ways to improve the user experience and visual quality of the site.
Assist with ongoing updates to existing pages, including content changes, visual tweaks, and layout adjustments within Webflow. Focus on enhancing user experience and driving higher conversion through thoughtful, performance-oriented design.
Create on-brand web assets, page mocks, and visual elements that align with the website’s design system and brand guidelines.
Create unique and creative web designs and/or graphics for marketing campaigns and events.
Help maintain and update CMS content, collections, and other structured content within Webflow.
Help to develop and expand the web design system with new components and templates in Webflow.
Collaborate cross-functionally with web, graphic design, motion design, content, brand, and demand gen teams.
Support occasional UI/UX design requests from the Developer Relations team to support design quality and cohesion between mapbox.com and the Documentation platform.
What We Believe are Important Traits for This Role
4+ years of experience in Web UI/UX design, with a focus on marketing product websites and web platforms. Portfolio should showcase a range of design projects, particularly in product websites and web platforms.
Experience designing web pages and layouts in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including content, brand, and marketing stakeholders. Comfortable working on a fast-paced, multi-timezone marketing team with multiple stakeholders and priorities.
Proficiency in creating web assets, mockups, and visual designs that align with established brand guidelines and design systems. Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design tools.
Strong working knowledge of Webflow, including building pages using existing templates, components, and CMS structures. Experience managing and updating Webflow CMS collections and the ability to perform ongoing content updates via component props.
Solid Web UI/UX skills with a strong grasp of design principles and the ability to create innovative, user-friendly solutions.
Solid understanding of design systems, reusable patterns and components, responsive design, and the constraints of web development.
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, HCI, UX/UI, or a related field.
Ability to create high-quality graphic content (illustrations, data visualization, drawing icons) to support graphic design capacity on the team.

Our annual compensation for this role ranges from $40,000 to $60,000 (salaries are in USD). Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role).
