Confluent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Web Designer to join our Design team. In this role you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the design process from concept to execution, ensuring all designs meet high standards of creativity, quality, and alignment with brand objectives. This role involves developing strategic, innovative concepts that drive brand and business goals, as well as maintaining and evolving the brand’s visual identity across all platforms.

What You Will Do:

  • Design & Development: Design and implement functional, aesthetically pleasing websites and landing pages, ensuring they are optimized for a wide range of devices (mobile-first approach).

  • User Experience (UX): Translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive and engaging user interface (UI) designs, including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all web design elements are consistent with the company’s brand guidelines and visual identity.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, content creators, and development teams to ensure a seamless execution from concept to launch.

  • Optimization: Conduct A/B testing and use analytics data to iterate on designs and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) like conversion rates and user engagement.

  • Maintenance: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in web design and front-end development.

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional web design experience (or equivalent education/bootcamp experience).

  • Portfolio: A strong online portfolio showcasing a variety of high-quality web design projects, demonstrating visual design skills and UX principles.

  • Software Proficiency: Expert proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.

  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript for front-end implementation. Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.

  • Design Fundamentals: Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.

What Gives You an Edge:

  • Experience working with (Specific CMS, e.g., WordPress, HubSpot, Webflow, Shopify).

  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and how they impact design.

  • Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG).
