Full Job Description

Who we are

Nirvana is on a mission to harness the power of data to revolutionize commercial insurance and enable a safer world. We are bringing much-needed innovation into the legacy, trillion-dollar commercial insurance industry. We have developed cutting-edge predictive models that use real-time IoT data from billions of connected devices, allowing us to better understand and price risk. Our AI-driven platform fundamentally changes the way an insurance company operates with personalized risk scoring, faster underwriting, modernized claims, and proactive, data-driven insights to help customers prevent accidents.

We’ve already proven the scale—serving thousands of fleets and more than doubling our written premiums year over year. Our data moat is growing exponentially with more than 30 billion miles of telematics data, leading to more predictive models and new insights into how we can better understand and reduce risk. Altogether, our loss ratio, efficiency, and customer experience are redefining what can be done in the industry.

With $270+ million raised, including our Series D round in December 2025, we’re only accelerating our growth, with strong support from top-tier VCs including Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor. Nirvana’s leadership team has previously helped scale multi-billion-dollar companies from scratch, including Samsara, Rubrik, and Flexport, and includes industry veterans from Hiscox, The Hartford, and RLI.

About the role

We’re looking for a designer with a strong foundation in digital design, branding, and creative systems — someone who already uses AI tools as a natural part of how they work.

What you’ll work on

  • Brand systems, websites, marketing campaigns, sales enablement, social content, presentations, and creative assets across multiple brands and initiatives.

  • You’ll occasionally collaborate on lightweight prototypes, creative tooling explorations, and AI-assisted workflows with the team — but this is not a traditional product design role.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong visual and digital design skills with a focus on marketing and web — you know how to create polished, high-quality experiences in Figma

  • A real brand sensibility — you can build and maintain visual identity systems, not just apply them

  • Experience designing across different formats and touchpoints: websites, campaigns, decks, social media, enablement materials, and launch assets

  • Technical fluency without necessarily being a developer — you’ve worked alongside code, understand what’s buildable, and can communicate clearly with engineers and developers

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools in a creative context — image generation (Midjourney, Flux, or similar), and ideally familiarity with Claude or Claude Code for planning, experimentation, and lightweight creative workflows

  • Ability to switch between execution modes: sometimes you’re crafting a campaign system, sometimes refining a website, sometimes helping structure a scalable creative workflow

  • Professional proficiency in English — both written and verbal

Nice to have

  • Experience using Claude Code or similar AI coding tools — not to build production systems, but to prototype ideas, explore solutions, and communicate technical concepts with confidence.
