About the role

Treatment Fidelity Raters review video recordings of treatment sessions to rate Equip providers’ fidelity to manualized treatments [including family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), and cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID (CBT-AR)]. This role reports to the Treatment Evaluation Manager and interfaces with clinical training team members and clinical supervisors. This is a fully remote, part-time position with a target of approximately 20 hours/week.

The ideal candidate has a strong commitment to evidence-based practice and firmly believes that fidelity to treatment is vital for patient outcomes. Ideal candidates either have a research background in eating disorders and/or evaluating manualized treatments OR high-quality clinical experience delivering manualized treatment for eating disorders. Ideally, candidates have experience participating in or conducting video reviews of manualized treatment for clinical supervision or fidelity purposes.

Working Hours

Working Hours - This role requires approximately 20 hours per week with consistent daytime availability for synchronous work blocks and calibration.

(e.g., Tuesdays, Fridays 12pm-3pm EST or Tuesdays 10am-12pm, Thursdays 12pm-2pm)

Responsibilities

  • Review and rate video recordings of treatment sessions (therapists, mentors, and dietitians) to ensure adherence to manualized treatment protocols.

  • Identify and summarize key session excerpts—highlighting both strengths and areas for growth—for review by clinical supervisors.

  • Maintain accurate rating logs and handle all administrative tasks associated with tracking provider performance data.

  • Collaborate with the Treatment Evaluation Manager to identify provider-wide trends and inform future training opportunities.

  • Participate in weekly synchronous individual and team meetings to align on evaluation standards and supervisor feedback.

  • Contribute to special projects aimed at refining evaluation rubrics, codebooks, and internal process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in mental health (e.g., PhD/PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology, MSW, or Masters in Counseling).

  • Familiarity with evidence-based eating disorder treatment.

Bonus if you have the following:

  • Specific experience in family-based treatment (FBT), enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E), cognitive behavioral therapy for ARFID (CBT-AR), or other eating disorder treatment delivery.

  • 3+years of experience treating patients using manualized treatments (e.g., CBT).

  • Familiarity with clinical research methods.

  • Prior experience rating fidelity.

  • Expertise in supervision or video review.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
