About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Remote Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will listen to audio or video recordings and convert them into accurate, well-formatted written documents. The ideal candidate has strong listening skills, excellent grammar, and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently. Responsibilities
Transcribe audio and video files into clear, accurate written text
Review and edit drafts for clarity, grammar, and completeness
Follow project-specific guidelines and formatting requirements
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Manage multiple assignments and deliver transcripts by set deadlines
Communicate with the project manager to clarify audio issues, deadlines, or instructions
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a transcriptionist or similar role
Excellent command of written English and strong grammar skills
Ability to distinguish speakers and interpret accents, dialects, and varying audio qualities
Fast and accurate typing skills (recommended: 60+ wpm)
Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread your own work
