About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

We’re looking for a strategic, analytical Total Rewards & Engagement Partner to design and scale our global compensation, job architecture, benefits, and engagement programs. This role shapes our employee value proposition and ensures our people are supported, motivated, and rewarded as we grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead global compensation strategy, including salary structures, benchmarking, pay equity, and the annual comp cycle.

  • Own and evolve our global job architecture—job families, levels, career paths, and consistent role scoping.

  • Develop and maintain compensation models, regional pay differentials, and leveling guidance for managers.

  • Partner with Finance on compensation budgets, workforce planning, and cost modeling.

  • Support global benefits strategy, vendor management, and well-being programs.

  • Lead recognition programs and culture-building initiatives that reinforce our values.

  • Create clear communications to help employees and managers understand compensation, benefits, and engagement programs.

What You Bring

  • 5–8+ years in compensation, total rewards, or people analytics, ideally in a global, scaling environment.

  • Deep experience with job architecture and designing leveling frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills; fluency in compensation benchmarking tools.

  • Experience running global compensation cycles and advising leaders on compensation decisions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with global benefits programs and well-being strategy.

  • Familiarity with HRIS and compensation planning tools.

  • CCP, CBP, or related certifications.

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 - $210,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications and location.

Why ALSO.

We’re passionate about helping the world find a better way to get there—wherever it is you’re headed.

We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.

Together we’re working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.

Perks and Benefits

  • Robust health coverage. Excellent health, dental and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO with FSA & HSA options.

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates.

  • Rich fertility and family building benefits with Progyny.
