Senior SharePoint Administrator - (Senior Associate)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SharePoint Administrator to lead the administration, governance, and optimization of SharePoint Online within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong governance and security knowledge, and the ability to operate as a senior escalation point while guiding best practices across collaboration platforms.

You will play a key role in ensuring a secure, compliant, and scalable SharePoint environment while supporting enterprise collaboration and modernization initiatives.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer and support enterprise‑scale SharePoint Online environments

  • Manage SharePoint site collections, hub sites, site lifecycle, and external sharing

  • Implement and enforce governance, security, compliance, and Microsoft best practices

  • Configure and manage permissions, retention policies, DLP, sensitivity labels, and audit logs

  • Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell and PnP PowerShell

  • Support integrations across Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Power Platform

  • Lead or support SharePoint migrations, including on‑premises to online and tenant‑to‑tenant migrations

  • Act as L2/L3 escalation for complex SharePoint and M365 issues

  • Troubleshoot performance, access, security, and configuration challenges

  • Mentor junior SharePoint administrators and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders

  • Maintain documentation, operational runbooks, and governance guidelines

Who You Are

  • 8+ years of hands‑on experience in SharePoint Administration

  • Deep expertise in SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 services

  • Strong experience automating administration using PowerShell / PnP PowerShell

  • Solid understanding of security, governance, compliance, and enterprise controls

  • Proven experience with SharePoint migration projects

  • Comfortable operating in large, enterprise or regulated environments

  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

  • A proactive leader with a problem‑solving mindset

Good to Have

  • Experience with SharePoint On‑Premises (2016/2019)

  • Knowledge of Power Platform, Azure AD / Entra ID, and Teams administration

  • Microsoft 365 or SharePoint‑related certifications
