SAP Delivery Lead / Delivery Head
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Delivery Lead / Delivery Head with strong leadership, delivery management expertise, and end-to-end SAP project execution experience. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of managing large SAP programs, leading cross-functional teams, ensuring successful delivery, and maintaining strong client relationships. This role requires hands-on knowledge across multiple SAP functional modules along with strong stakeholder and governance skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, ensuring quality, timelines and SLA’s.
Ensure projects are executed following agreed-upon processes, timelines with a focus on client deliverables.
Oversee project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and execution across multiple SAP tracks.
Drive governance, compliance, and delivery excellence across all SAP implementation and support engagements.
Collaborate closely with clients, business stakeholders, and internal teams to define scope, deliverables, and success metrics.
Manage and mentor cross-functional SAP teams (functional & technical).
Ensure smooth coordination between onsite, offshore, and cross-regional teams.
Enforce compliance with project management standards and methodologies across all customer-facing projects.
Monitor project status, prepare dashboards, and drive weekly/monthly steering meetings with leadership.
Ensure adoption of SAP best practices, methodologies, and quality frameworks.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and internal processes.
Manage escalations, resolve delivery issues, and ensure overall client satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
14+ years of total IT experience with at least 10+ years in SAP delivery/ program management roles.
Strong functional understanding of core SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, FI, PS, VIM, SCM, RAR and IC ) and process and Integration between these modules
Technical knowledge in ABAP and experience in delivering RICEFW objects
Familiarity with integration technologies and cloud platforms and any boundary systems with SAP
Proven experience in managing mid-to-large SAP implementation, rollout, and support programs preferably global projects
Excellent leadership skills with experience in leading 20+ member teams.
Strong understanding of SAP methodologies (ASAP, Activate, Agile/Hybrid models).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and client-facing and interaction skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and escalation management capability.
Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or SAP certifications preferred.
