The Role

As Compa's Technical Recruiter, you will own execution of our technical talent strategy. You'll act as a full-cycle recruiter across 5–10 open roles at any given time, spanning software engineering, AI, infrastructure, security, and IT.

This role will be based in Denver, CO. This role works closely with Compa's Co-founder & CTO and the Director of People to build and scale our technical teams. We're a collaborative, curious, and driven team that values transparency, ownership, and continuous learning — and we prioritize in-person work where possible.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders, bringing a consultative approach to influence hiring decisions, shape strategies, and align recruiting priorities with broader business goals

  • Own the full candidate lifecycle — sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, and closing — across roles of varying complexity and seniority

  • Develop and refine job descriptions, hiring plans, and screening rubrics in collaboration with hiring managers

  • Build scalable, repeatable recruiting workflows that grow with the company

  • Mentor peers, share best practices, and help build a culture of continuous improvement that raises the bar for recruiting excellence

  • Support Compa's CTO Leadership Team in executing hiring plans and talent strategy

  • You’re a builder who thrives in ambiguity and have successfully created recruiting processes that scale with a growing organization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience at a growth-stage company

  • Track record hiring specialized technical and engineering roles

  • Strong written and verbal communication with candidates, cross-functional leaders, and hiring teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting in HR tech

  • Familiarity with Ashby
