Full Job Description

Who You Are

You're the orchestrator who brings order to chaos when a company's entire infrastructure is down. When ransomware strikes and dozens of systems need restoration, you're the person who builds the master plan, tracks every moving piece, and ensures nothing falls through the cracks. You see the entire battlefield while managing the tactics, coordinating technical teams, forensics investigators, legal counsel, and executives toward a unified recovery strategy.

You don't just manage projects, you manage crises. You've spent years in professional consulting environments where timelines are tight, stakeholders are stressed, and success means juggling technical dependencies, client expectations, legal requirements, and forensics findings simultaneously. You understand server tiering, application dependencies, and restoration sequencing because you've lived through enough infrastructure projects to know that getting the order wrong means time wasted which results in revenue lost.

You're the keeper of priority tasks, the single source of truth that shows what's been restored, what's in progress, what's blocked, and what's next. You own dashboards that executives can understand at a glance and detailed trackers that engineers can execute from. You map applications to infrastructure, identify critical path dependencies, and communicate realistic timelines even when the pressure is on to move faster.

You're equally comfortable in a war room with forensics teams and legal counsel as you are on a technical bridge with restoration engineers and MSPs. You can translate "we found lateral movement on these hosts" into "these 12 servers need forensics clearance before restoration" and turn that into updated project plans and resource allocation decisions. You know that incident response project management means being available around the clock during active incidents, making real-time priority calls, and maintaining composure when nothing goes according to plan.

Why You Matter

You'll be joining MOXFIVE as a Technical Project Manager in our Restoration team, leading the entire restoration workstream during critical cybersecurity incidents. When organizations face ransomware attacks or major infrastructure compromises, you'll be the central coordinator ensuring that technical restoration, forensics investigation, legal requirements, and business priorities all align toward successful recovery.

In this role, you'll own the restoration roadmap from initial triage through full operational recovery. You'll build and maintain the master server tracker that becomes the definitive guide for how the environment comes back online. You'll leverage server tiering to prioritize critical business systems, map application dependencies to ensure proper restoration sequencing, track forensics clearances, and create dashboards that provide real-time visibility into restoration progress for both technical teams and executive leadership.

When a company's infrastructure is down, technical skill alone isn't enough—someone needs to see the whole picture, manage competing priorities, and keep dozens of people aligned toward the same goal. Your project management expertise and ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder recovery efforts directly determines whether restoration happens in an organized, efficient manner or devolves into chaos and rework.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of project management experience leading complex technical projects in professional consulting, cybersecurity, or strategic infrastructure environments with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.

  • Strong technical foundation with practical understanding of IT infrastructure, server dependencies, application architecture, and restoration sequencing sufficient to make informed priority decisions and communicate effectively with technical teams.

  • Exceptional organizational and tracking skills, including building comprehensive task trackers, dependency maps, and executive dashboards that provide clear visibility into complex restoration operations.

  • Advanced stakeholder management abilities with experience coordinating between technical teams, executive leadership, legal counsel, insurance carriers, and external partners during high-pressure situations.

  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills, able to assess competing demands, identify critical path items, and make real-time adjustments as situations evolve.

  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, capable of translating technical details into business impact for executives while providing clear, actionable direction to technical resources.

  • Crisis management mindset with comfort working extended hours during active incidents, maintaining composure under pressure, and adapting plans quickly when circumstances change.

  • Collaborative leadership approach, able to influence without direct authority and keep teams motivated during challenging, high-stress recovery operations.
