About the Role

We are looking for a Team Lead to support our state-of-the-art Manufacturing Facility in Provo, Utah. As a Team Lead, you will play a critical hands-on leadership role, splitting your time between frontline people management and active production work.

Team Leads are the experts in their area and are expected to step in on equipment, processes, and workflows whenever needed to keep production running smoothly. You will oversee day-to-day performance of a team of technicians, ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, complete timecards and basic administrative work, and help drive a strong, accountable, high-performing team culture.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily performance of a team of technicians, including coaching, shift-level guidance, and accountability.

  • Complete timecards, attendance tracking, and basic administrative tasks accurately and on time.

  • Provide real-time feedback, support team member development, and escalate performance concerns when needed.

  • Help onboard and train new team members, ensuring consistent understanding of processes and expectations.

  • Model strong communication, teamwork, and professionalism.

  • Serve as the area expert—operate equipment, run stations, and support production tasks to keep the line moving.

  • Step in during bottlenecks, callouts, or equipment issues to maintain throughput and quality.

  • Troubleshoot issues at the line level, collaborate with maintenance or engineering as necessary, and document issues appropriately.

  • Monitor workflow throughout the shift to ensure the team meets safety, quality, and production targets.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with company standards.

  • Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality checkpoints, and equipment operating procedures.

  • Communicate shift status, risks, and priorities during handoffs and shift meetings.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline processes within your area.

  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Production Planning to support uninterrupted line flow.

  • Provide input into scheduling, staffing needs, and cross-training opportunities.

  • Support implementation of new SOPs, processes, and improvements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (automation or digital manufacturing preferred).

  • Prior leadership experience—Team Lead, Line Lead, Trainer, or similar role.

  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly become an expert in a specific production area.

  • Ability to split time effectively between leadership responsibilities and hands-on production work.

  • High comfort with digital tools and technology-enabled workflows.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to give clear direction.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems, stay calm under pressure, and make sound decisions.

  • Team-first mindset and commitment to helping others succeed.

  • Ability to work onsite during the hours of your team.

Bonus Points For

  • Experience training others or running onboarding programs.

  • Familiarity with SOPs, quality systems, or technical production documentation.

  • Manufacturing experience in dental, medical devices, or other regulated environments.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM, digital workflows, or high-tech equipment.
