At Preply, we take pride in having the largest and most diverse base of tutors among all online language learning platforms. Our tutors play a crucial role in our vision to power people's progress. We are constantly pushing the boundaries, conducting hundreds of AB tests, and identifying opportunities to enhance the experience for both our students and tutors.

As a member of the Supply Operations squad, you’ll lead the Supply Communications & Engagement team, which is responsible for delivering life-changing learning and engagement experiences for over 100,000 tutors all over the world. In this role, you will set the strategic direction and own how we communicate with, enable, and engage tutors at scale - from defining the narrative and priorities to driving execution and adoption.

You’ll manage a high-performing team of senior specialists across communications, instructional design, and community engagement. Working closely with Brand, Product, CRM, CX as well as senior leaders at Preply, you’ll deliver proactive enablement, high-impact programs, and scalable go-to-market strategies for new features, policies, and tutor segments.

What you’ll be doing

Team Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and grow a senior team across communications, community engagement, and instructional design

  • Own and articulate the long-term vision for how Preply enables and engages its tutor base through learning, communication, and connection

  • Translate strategy into a focused roadmap with measurable impact

  • Evaluate current tools, channels, and workflows and propose scalable improvements that enhance consistency, speed, and quality

Cross-functional Program Ownership

  • Own end-to-end tutor-facing initiatives, collaborating closely with Brand, CRM, Product, and CX teams (eg. mentorship program)

  • Shape and execute multi-channel go-to-market campaigns and adoption strategies for new tutor policies, features, and teaching content

  • Work with Product and CX teams to proactively identify and address tutor pain points via targeted communication and engagement initiatives

Tutor Engagement & Communications

  • Oversee the design and execution of flagship tutor engagement initiatives (online or offline): community platform, Tutor Cafés, Mentorship Programme and the annual Tutor Conference (>15K attendees)

  • Lead the launch of a new LMS and the migration of key tutor-facing content, while ensuring the design and delivery of engaging, scalable tutor learning experiences

  • Own the strategy and quality of tutor-facing messaging across all relevant channels - including email, in-product, webinars, social, and community touchpoints

  • Scale Preply’s online tutor community as an inclusive space for peer connection, knowledge-sharing, and tutor-led support - fostering positive sentiment, a sense of belonging, and tutor-driven engagement across the platform

What You Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience in content creation and managing communications, engagement or CRM teams with demonstrated success in leading through change and growth

  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy and personally own execution at scale

  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience

  • Track record of scaling programs that engage large external audiences (e.g. customers, educators, communities, or creators)

  • Deep understanding of multi-channel content strategy, go-to-market (GTM) execution, and audience segmentation

  • Strong program and stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership influence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a sharp eye for clarity and tone

  • Strategic thinker with a strong bias toward action, iteration, and continuous improvement

  • Comfort using metrics and tools to assess program effectiveness and inform iteration (e.g. Looker)

  • Experience with learning platforms (LMS), online community engagement tools, or content management systems

  • Background in fast-paced environments (tech, marketplaces, edtech, consulting)

  • High empathy for tutors/educators and ability to advocate for their experience cross-functionally

Nice to Have

  • Experience organizing large-scale events, virtual conferences, or mid-scale community activations

  • Familiarity with online reputation management (ORM), social listening tools, or external communications strategy

  • Experience collaborating with CRM or lifecycle marketing teams

  • Understanding of brand voice and tone governance in global organizations
