The Role:

As a Strategic Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving financial planning and analysis activities, supporting the overall strategic goals of the company. In this role we partner with, and support, the Go-To-Market (“GTM”) motion within DailyPay, specifically the Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Call Center and Revenue Operations teams. In this role you’ll help deliver actionable insights by conducting in-depth financial analysis, preparing forecasts, analyzing budgets and actual performance, leading the variable compensation process, and managing various ad hoc projects. Your work will directly translate into defining and resolving critical business issues.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets

  • Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making processes

  • Demonstrate pro-active initiative by seeking out new tasks and projects when current workload is complete

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and provide recommendations for cost optimization and revenue enhancement

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations

  • Support the annual budgeting and long-term planning processes

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide analysis to track financial performance and operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with business partners to develop financial models for new initiatives and evaluate investment opportunities

  • Own the monthly and quarterly commissions process, from data pulls and validations through final payouts and distribution

  • Support the design and modeling of annual and quarterly compensation plans, including quota-setting and cost modeling

What You Bring to The Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field or equivalent experience

  • 1-3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a corporate setting

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights

  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (gsheets and gslides)

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner

  • Experience with financial systems and tools Netsuite, Anaplan, and Tableau preferred (or other e.g., ERP, Hyperion, etc)
