About the Role:
The Sterile Compounding Scheduler & Batch Release Coordinator creates the compounding schedule and coordinates the batch release activities within the pharmacy environment. This position maintains the compounding schedules, tracking batch progress, and coordinates documentation required for batch disposition. The position works under the guidance and direction of the Director of Operations and collaborates with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timely compounding and compliant product release.
You Will:
Production Scheduling Support
Working closely with Production planning, develop and maintain the compounding schedules to support compounding goals and customer demand.
Update and track production schedules in internal planning tools.
Monitor daily production activities and report schedule updates, delays, or constraints to the Director of Operations and Production Planning.
Support coordination between manufacturing, quality, and planning teams to align production timelines.
Help collect and organize production data used for capacity planning and schedule optimization.
Batch Release Coordination
Track batch status from compounding completion through quality review and final release.
Maintain batch release trackers and support reporting on release timelines and status updates.
Coordinate communication between Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control to ensure timely batch disposition.
Escalate delays or documentation issues to the Director of Operations or designated team leads and Production planning.
Compliance & Documentation
Support adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and company quality procedures.
Maintain organized records related to production scheduling and batch release activities.
Help prepare documentation and data needed for internal audits, inspections, or operational reviews.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to compounding planning and batch release cycle times.
You Have:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Operations, or a related field (or equivalent relevant internship/experience).
1–2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or pharmacy manufacturing or supply chain environments (internships or co-op experience acceptable).
Exposure to GMP environments or regulated industries is preferred but not required.
Skills
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to track multiple tasks and follow structured processes.
Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data tracking tools.
Willingness to learn pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory processes.

Working Relationship
Reports to: Director of Operations
Works closely with: Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Supply Chain, and Project Management teams.
Work Environment
Office-based documentation, and analysis work
Occasional off-hours or on-call support for manufacturing operations and critical activities
