  • Provide technical leadership on large, complex projects that span infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud.

  • Demonstrate strategic ownership, including identifying cross-team and cross-organisation problem spaces, and driving efforts to address those.

  • Use your engineering craft skills to make architectural trade-offs based on software design principles and company goals.

  • Champion platform adoption to meet business goals across partner teams.

  • Act as a role model and force multiplier, developing expertise in others and driving engineering standards across the team.

  • Contribute with excellent code quality, documentation, and software development best practices.

OUR IDEAL STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER - CONTAINER PLATFORM AT SNOWFLAKE WILL HAVE:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years industry experience designing, building, and supporting large scale systems in production.

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals.

  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language, for example Go, Java, Rust, or C++.

  • Hands-on experience in platform engineering or cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to build alignment across teams.

  • Ownership mindset, self-direction, and a passion for solving complex problems.

  • Tech lead experience.

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes.
