A technology company leading the development of a next-generation digital Crypto Bank for a confidential client headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The initiative combines enterprise-grade banking systems with blockchain integration, enabling secure, scalable, and modular financial operations across global markets.
The platform aims to serve as a secure digital banking backbone, supporting real-world transactions, digital asset custody, and blockchain interoperability — with strict architectural and compliance standards aligned to the financial industry.
The system will integrate with third-party providers such as payment rails and KYC services, and there is no legacy or existing banking backend, but there will be future integrations with external banking services.
Job Summary
We are seeking Backend Engineers (Golang) to play a key role in building the foundation of this next-generation banking infrastructure. You’ll design and implement core backend systems that handle real financial transactions, ensure data integrity, and drive the platform’s scalability.
This is a greenfield project; there’s no existing legacy system, giving you the opportunity to shape architecture and standards from the ground up. The platform will integrate with external services such as payment rails, KYC providers, and future banking partners.s.
Responsibilities
Design, document, and implement end-to-end backend modules using Golang.
Define and propose the architecture for assigned modules; align designs with the CTO and peer engineers.
Integrate backend modules to ensure system-wide architectural consistency.
Develop robust workflow and state management for core entities such as payments and transactions.
Implement transactional logic ensuring consistency, durability, and fault tolerance in distributed systems.
Work with workflow/transaction management frameworks (e.g., Temporal or similar).
Build RESTful APIs and service-based architectures that integrate seamlessly with enterprise systems.
Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain API standards, design consistency, and technical excellence.
Maintain a design-first mindset, ensuring architecture and documentation precede implementation.
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Strong proficiency in Golang.
Demonstrated experience with Workflow Management, State Management, and Transaction Management systems.
Hands-on experience integrating with enterprise software systems (multi-service, multi-architecture environments).
Experience defining and implementing service architectures, APIs, and endpoints.
Ability to independently design, implement, and deliver production-grade systems.
