About Voyant
Voyant Photonics, based in the heart of New York City, is transforming machine perception with a new class of LiDAR devices that are compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand and powerful enough to measure range, velocity, and reflectivity with unparalleled accuracy. By leveraging cutting-edge silicon photonic chips smaller than your fingertip, we deliver sensors that are not only revolutionary in performance but also affordable enough to integrate into any system.
Our technology disrupts the status quo of bulky, expensive, and power-hungry LiDAR systems, making high-precision sensing accessible for widespread adoption in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, industrial automation, and beyond.
Position Overview
We're looking for a technically sharp intern who loves making complex technology accessible through great documentation and examples. You'll be the bridge between our cutting-edge LiDAR sensors and the developers who integrate them, turning our APIs into something customers love to work with.
This role is up to ~60-70% technical writing and documentation infrastructure, with the remaining time spent building software demos and sample applications that showcase what's possible with our sensors. If you geek out over well-crafted docs and clear code examples, this is your role.

Manage documentation infrastructure and workflows (CI/CD, version control, publishing)
Ensure documentation clarity, accuracy, and completeness across all customer-facing materials
Secondary (~30-40% of time):
Build sample applications and integration demos using our LiDAR sensors
Collect and curate example datasets that demonstrate sensor capabilities
Create ROS/ROS2 bridge usage examples and robotics framework integrations
Develop visual demos and code snippets for product marketing and customer onboarding
Qualifications
Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field
Strong written communication skills with attention to clarity and detail
