We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Join Also as a Firmware Engineering Intern and contribute to cutting-edge embedded systems development. You'll design and implement firmware solutions for our mobility products while gaining hands-on experience with modern development practices and testing frameworks.
What You Will Do
Develop embedded firmware for product testing and validation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices
Ride and test your developments on our TM-B vehicle and other future platforms
What You Will Bring
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Proficiency in C programming
Understanding of embedded systems fundamentals
Python scripting experience
ARM Cortex-M microcontroller experience
Familiarity with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
Build system experience (Bazel, West, CMake, Make, or similar)
Version control systems (Git)
Structured software development approach
Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective team collaboration across departments
Clear communication about knowledge gaps and learning needs
Adaptability in fast-paced environments
Self-motivated with strong initiative
The range of pay for internships is $35-$45 USD per hour.
