Job Summary

The Senior Software Architect (.NET / Angular) is a highly technical, hands-on leadership role responsible for guiding architecture and development across modern and legacy systems within a large-scale SaaS platform. This position combines deep engineering expertise with strategic architectural oversight, focusing on scalable service design, platform consistency, and performance optimization across .NET, Angular, and SQL Server environments.

The ideal candidate actively writes production code while shaping technical direction across multiple teams. This role emphasizes pragmatic architecture within hybrid environments, improving legacy systems while enabling modern service-based patterns, strong DevOps practices, and efficient development workflows supported by AI-assisted engineering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable services and APIs using .NET Core while improving structure and design patterns in existing .NET Framework applications.

  • Define and guide Angular architecture and shared UI patterns used across multiple product lines.

  • Design and optimize SQL Server databases, including schemas, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and security models.

  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability across multi-tenant SaaS environments.

  • Establish API standards, integration patterns, and security best practices across engineering teams.

  • Drive improvements in DevOps maturity, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, automated testing, and shift-left quality practices.

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, refactoring, documentation, and technical analysis.

  • Provide architectural leadership by communicating technical tradeoffs and design decisions to senior technical and business stakeholders.

  • Collaborate across teams to improve system modularity, platform consistency, and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of enterprise software engineering experience with deep expertise in .NET Core, C#, and distributed systems architecture.

  • 4+ years of experience in software architecture or technical leadership, defining patterns, standards, and system design strategies.

  • Strong experience with Angular and the ability to establish front-end architecture standards.

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including performance tuning, indexing strategies, and secure data design.

  • Hands-on experience building scalable cloud systems in Azure or AWS environments.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, observability, and security fundamentals.

  • Proven ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions in hybrid legacy/modern systems.

  • Experience communicating architectural direction and technical tradeoffs to senior stakeholders.

  • Regular use of AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
