Reference #VV794003 Spirent is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer in Telecommunications and Networking to help drive sales in the Federal segment in Test and Measurement and cellular technologies. This individual will be an integral member of Spirent s regional sales team and work closely with many of Spirent s strategic customers and industry experts. You will specialize in pre-sales activities, acting as the technical subject matter expert on Spirent s products and solutions, understanding customer requirements, determining the best solutions, and effectively communicating the value proposition of those solutions to target customers. Your primary focus will be to drive technical end-to-end solutions for our clients as part of an integrated sales team. Pre-sales activities include solution development, technical presentations, design documentation creation, assisting with technical questions or concerns during the sales process, frequently participating in the project specification process, acting as a liaison between Spirent s sales/business development and engineering groups, and leading key customer proof of concepts in addition to direct customer engagement in support of the sales team s objectives. Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Must have 5 years of experience in working with product/service development processes in the Communications and High-Tech Industry; developing a deep knowledge of customers technical challenges that inhibit their ability to achieve stated product/service delivery objectives; developing relationships at all levels in the Engineering organization; selling high-end software solutions and consulting services; keeping track of economic and industry activity and understanding its implications on customer business; working with automation and software development utilizing common languages such as C/C+, Java, Tcl, Perl, and/or Python; working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools such as Salesforce or Siebel; working with Wireless technology including 4G device cellular certification testing, Wi-Fi, channel emulators, e911, and location-based services; utilizing iPerf, Wireshark, QXDM (or equivalent device logging frameworks), Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, and Radio Frequency (RF) debugging equipment; working with Cellular certification testing such as CTIA OTA, PTCRB, and carriers (AT&T, Verizon and TMobile); working with 3GPP and IEEE standards related to 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi; and managing lifecycle of trouble tickets from start to end. Telecommuting work arrangement permitted: position may work in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. 30% domestic travel required. 5% international travel required. Annualized Salary Wage Range: $177,688 - $212,175 Spirent applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience at or in line with the minimum requirements.
