Senior Systems Engineer

Role Overview

This senior-level role involves designing and implementing liblogos, a modular plugin runtime for decentralized nodes, with a focus on optimizing IPC, enhancing module isolation, fault tolerance, scalability, and security. You will collaborate with teams to build and test modules like blockchain, messaging, and storage, impacting the development of a freer, decentralized internet. The position requires deep systems programming expertise and is part of a team working on foundational technologies for the Logos movement.

Perks & Benefits

The job offers remote work with a worldwide location, implying flexibility in time zones and a distributed team setup. It provides opportunities for career growth in cutting-edge decentralized technology, with a culture focused on empowering users and upholding civil liberties. Benefits likely include a collaborative environment and involvement in impactful projects revitalizing civil society, typical of tech roles in this field.

Full Job Description

Logos is a movement supporting the development of the decentralised web. Logos technologies lay the foundations for a freer internet upon which communities can evolve into network states. Each protocol in the Logos stack seeks to empower its users while upholding civil liberties and fundamental freedoms.

Logos is a social movement and decentralised technology stack built to revitalise civil society.

The job:

You will design and implement liblogos, a modular plugin runtime for decentralised nodes, while optimising IPC, strengthening module isolation, fault-tolerance, scalability, and security. You will also collaborate with teams to build and test modules, like our Logos blockchain, messaging and storage modules.

Responsibilities:

Help design and implement liblogos, which provides a modular plugin-based runtime for decentralized nodes and applications. Optimize IPC performance. Improve isolation (also in regards to efficiency), fault tolerance, independent scalability, and secure boundaries of modules to prevent cross-module vulnerabilities. Collaborate with component teams to build and test modules like decentralised nodes.

You ideally have:

Proficiency in systems programming languages including C, C++, Rust, and Nim. Experience with plugin architectures, dynamic loading, and package managers for modular runtime systems. Strong understanding of microkernel principles: minimal core, service isolation, fault tolerance, and extensibility without core modifications. Experience with LinPlease mention the word **HEADWAY** and tag RODguMTk4Ljk5LjE0Mw== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RODguMTk4Ljk5LjE0Mw==).
