About This Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with deep experience running Kubernetes at scale. You will help design, build, and operate Crusoe’s next-generation Kubernetes platform across global datacenters, ensuring performance, reliability, and automation at every layer of the stack.

What You’ll Be Working On:

  • Architect, implement, and operate scalable and reliable Kubernetes clusters with automated lifecycle management

  • Develop and automate tests to ensure the quality and stability of the cluster, and to proactively identify and resolve potential hardware or software issues

  • Architect and implement, operate Kubernetes networking including CNI and service mesh

  • Identify gaps and develop internal tools, APIs, and command-line interfaces (CLIs) that enable customers to deploy and effectively monitor internal services

  • Establish observability best practices using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to ensure cluster and control plane reliability

  • Implement security best practices by utilizing Kubernetes RBAC, security, and network policies

  • Mentor engineers and shaping technical direction for Crusoe’s Kubernetes platform

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • 7+ years in infrastructure engineering, including 3+ years operating Medium to Large size Kubernetes Clusters in production

  • Strong background in Kubernetes internals and best practices

  • Extensive experience in Kubernetes cluster bootstrapping and lifecycle management

  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes networking – CNIs, load balancers, service mesh

  • Experience with Linux kernel and container runtime

  • Experience with Kubernetes observability

  • Experience with PKI, identity, and secrets management

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools

  • Strong programming skills in Go for building operators, and automation tooling

  • Excellent debugging skills for complex distributed systems

  • Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams

Bonus Points:

  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters

  • Contributions to open source Kubernetes or related ecosystem projects

  • Familiarity with GPUs, HPC clusters, or large-scale AI/ML workloads

Compensation:

Compensation will be paid in the range of $233,000 - $282,000 + Bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers. Compensation to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
