The Senior Research Analyst will support Aledade s strategic approach to risk stratification and documentation with analyses that leverage rich data sources including Medicare claims, payer sourced data, and electronic health records.Participate in the development and refinement of forecasting models to support enterprise-wide projections, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.Develop and maintain documentation and reporting frameworks to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and compliance with internal and external standards.Provide subject matter expertise in risk analytics, offering insights and recommendations to partners within the broader Impact Analytics team. Work cross-functionally with partners across actuary, product and engineering organizations to drive insights.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare analytics, an understanding of both risk adjustment and population health strategies, a passion for having a direct impact on primary care practices, and contributing to a data-driven organization.Primary DutiesUnderstand the problem space:Work with teams across Aledade and external partners to understand and clarify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.Design and execute analyses:Design and program code to integrate, evaluate, and analyze diverse data sources to support risk adjustment for all Medicare populations.Work closely with other team members on forecasting and modeling MA risk scores.Design descriptive, predictive, and/or causal inference statistical analyses to answer key business questions.Perform data analysis and statistical modeling to generate actionable insights and solutions.Support junior colleagues in programming, model implementation and knowledge transfers.Translate and communicate analysis results:Work across teams at Aledade to synthesize results, identify implications of analysis results and translate findings into action.Lead development of analytic products that accurately communicate insights from the data and inspire action.Work closely with engineering, business intelligence and product partners to enable analytic solutions.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.An advanced degree may substitute for some experience.Preferred KSA sExperience with SQL for data manipulation and Python for statistical programmingExperience with healthcare data sources such as medical or pharmacy claims, electronic health record, event notification, clinical, and patient reported data, and working in a complex enterprise data warehouseKnowledge of CMS Risk Adjustment models, CMS data files, and methods for developing trend assumptions.Masters in health services research, mathematics/statistics, epidemiology, biostatistics, econometrics, or related fieldExcellent quantitative analysis abilities, with demonstrated ability to conduct nuanced analyses to produce accurate and unbiased results and tell the story of those results in data visualizations, presentations, and reports.Attention to detail, particularly with version control (e.g. Git), quality assurance, documentation, and building repeatable processesAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines and priorities.Values people with differing backgrounds and perspectives; supports effective interpersonal and intercultural engagementCommitted to serving teammates and patients with empathy and respectAbility to manage projects through the entire life cycle, from design through implementation, documentation, and presentation of findingsThinks beyond their immediate team and contributes to making Aledade holistically better (active engagement in employee resource groups, equity and belonging initiatives, book/journal clubs, facilitating training, leading roundtables, etc.)Physical RequirementsSitting for prolonged periods of time.
