More than 4,000 companies — including Adobe, Spotify, Warner Bros, and Paramount — and 100,000 users in over 150 countries stream more than 100 petabytes with LucidLink, and the Television Academy has recognized us with an Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Award. Founded in 2016 by storage industry veterans, we are headquartered in San Francisco with an engineering office in Sofia, Bulgaria, and remote employees across North America, Europe and Australia.

Mission:

The role exists to lead communications strategy and execution that drives awareness of LucidLink's platform across discrete target audiences (media and entertainment, enterprise IT, construction) and translates that awareness into revenue. We are looking to move beyond ad-hoc communications managed across multiple people's desks to a dedicated function that orchestrates media strategy, manages agency relationships, and tells compelling stories about customer impact and market transformation.

Outcomes (12-18 months)

  • Shift LucidLink's market perception to be known as an AI company and a developer concern within one year through media coverage and storytelling

  • Own the analyst relations program with Gartner and opportunistically with other analysts, teaming with Product Marketing to identify where LucidLink is well positioned, where we have opportunities, and where we need to influence perception with commercial, customer, and technology proof-points.

  • Drive proactive communications by developing content strategy and editorial calendar while maintaining responsiveness to inbound media requests

  • Tell market-impact stories focused on how customers transform their businesses through the platform, rather than emphasizing feature releases or product launches

  • Support major product launches across a range of industries and personasincluding LucidLink Connect read/write, MCP server, Python SDK, and future language SDKs with communications that drive awareness and trial

Competencies

  • Storytelling and media strategy skills, including ability to translate technical narratives into market-relevant stories and identify what makes LucidLink's approach different in a crowded AI landscape

  • Track record of successful product launches that achieved significant visibility and generated downstream business impact, demonstrating ability to move awareness into customer acquisition

  • Experience managing a six-figure budget, external agencies and vendor relationships to optimize their output without hands-on involvement in day-to-day media pitching

  • Ability to conduct internal coordination and stakeholder management, ensuring timely access to company leaders, customer references, and strategic messaging

  • Domain familiarity with media and entertainment preferred but not required; demonstrated understanding of enterprise IT or similar complex B2B sales environments valued

  • “Portfolio” or concrete examples of past campaigns, repositioning efforts, or market entry launches showing specific ownership and measurable results

  • Comfort with fast-moving, reactive work alongside proactive planning, including ad-hoc media requests and tight turnaround times mixed with longer-term strategic initiatives
